Why we exist
Most renovation review platforms in Singapore earn money by charging interior design firms for leads, featured placements, or badges. That creates a conflict of interest – firms that pay get better visibility, negative reviews get buried, and homeowners end up with a skewed picture.
RenoLobang does not accept payment from any interior design firm. No paid placements. No sponsored rankings. Firms cannot pay to appear higher or remove reviews they do not like. Our only goal is to give homeowners the most honest, complete picture possible before they commit to a renovation.
Review tiers
Not all reviews are equal. We label every review clearly so you know exactly where it came from.

Submitted directly by a homeowner with contract proof
The reviewer uploaded a copy of their renovation contract, which we cross-check before publishing. This is the highest level of credibility on RenoLobang.
◑ Unverified
Submitted directly by a homeowner, no contract proof
The reviewer says they renovated with this firm but did not upload a contract. Still a first-hand account – just take it with a bit more caution than a Verified review.
◎ Community sourced
Sourced from Reddit, Facebook, HardwareZone, or other forums
These are reviews that were originally posted elsewhere online. We archive them here with full attribution so they are not lost if the original post gets deleted. The original author and source link are always shown.

Our principles
We do not accept payment from ID firms
No lead generation fees, no featured placement fees, no badge programs. Firms cannot pay for anything on RenoLobang.
Firms cannot edit or remove reviews
Once a review is published, it stays. Interior design firms have no ability to contact us to alter or remove reviews about them.
Affiliated firms are disclosed
Where firms operate under related brands or are otherwise affiliated, we note this clearly on both firm profiles.
Every review is labelled by source
You always know if a review was verified, unverified, community sourced, or from the media. We never present all reviews as equal when they are not.
We do remove dishonest reviews
We review every submission before publishing. Reviews that appear to be fake, planted by competitors, or clearly dishonest will not be published. If you spot one, contact us.
Frequently asked questions
Can I submit a review anonymously? ▼
Yes. You do not need to provide your real name. Your display name can be something like "Homeowner, Tampines BTO" or you can leave it blank and it will show as "Anonymous homeowner". Your email is collected for follow-up purposes only and is never published.
How long does it take for my review to be published? ▼
We aim to review all submissions within 1–3 days. We may contact you by email if we have questions or need to verify something before publishing.
The firm I want to review is not in your database. Can I still submit? ▼
Yes. When you search for a firm on the submission form and it does not appear, you will see an "Add new firm" option. Select it, fill in the details, and we will add the firm to the database when your review is approved.
I am an interior designer. Can I respond to a review? ▼
We are considering adding a response feature in the future. For now, firms cannot respond to reviews on the platform. If you believe a review about your firm is factually incorrect or dishonest, you can contact us and we will investigate.
Is RenoLobang affiliated with any interior design firm? ▼
No. RenoLobang is completely independent. We are not affiliated with, funded by, or in any commercial relationship with any interior design firm in Singapore.
Can I request for a review to be removed? ▼
If you submitted the review yourself and want it removed, contact us and we will take it down. If you are a firm requesting removal of a review about you, we do not remove reviews on request unless they are demonstrably false or violate our review policy.
